The main constraint in organic farming development is market linkages due to the higher cost of the distribution channels. As of now the demand is not grown to the extent so the production cost meet the same, hence the percentage distributed to the small demand is higher in comparison to the conventional agriculture produce.

The cost matrix involved in the organic production is premium paid to the farmer in addition to the conventionally grown crop. The certification cost is another addition to the final produce.

The small farming land holdings is another constraint in bringing the production cost down for organic produce. Due to this small holdings of lands the Organic operators create cluster of farmers and then add to the producer group. The producer group finely called grower group. In this group its choice of the Organic Operator if wants to include dairy farming within the group. The inclusion of dairy farming in group add the income to the farmer but same time operator has to bear the additional cost of tools involved for dairy farming like training, vet doctor support, collection of milk, fodder management and process of milk etc.

Generally it is considered important to treat animals well. Proponents of organic agriculture point to the environmental benefits of not using these often persistent and toxic chemicals. Organic farming also promotes greater biodiversity on farms, as the lack of poison allows species other than those being cultivated to inhabit the farms.
