Sanjeevani Agrofoods Certification Standards

The present scenario of organic farming in India has not picked up as per the expectation with the CAGR growth of 28% but the spread is still satisfactory. The main reason not for attaining the growth is change in the certification standards and government is continuously changing its policies like NOPO to PGS and now to Natural farming thus the support system from government in form of viability gap funds is changing from one style project to another.

This lead not only confusion but the earlier started programs go in vain. The central government supported program goes to the farmer through the state government, whereas all the state government has development its own mechanism to implement these programs with own kitty. The mandate dilute from state to state when it finely reaches to stake holder. The hope rises with the entry of Corporates to support this Organic Agriculture either in form of their CSR funds or business model for their basket filled with certified organic produce. These practices at farm level are generally handled through FPOs created among the farmers whereas Corporate facilitate these FPOs through funds and buy back guarantees.

Organic certification standards can vary between countries and regions, so it's essential to ensure that any certification aligns with the specific requirements and regulations applicable to the area in question. If "Sanjeevani" is a newer standard or one that has been introduced since my last update, checking with local agriculture departments, certification bodies, or industry associations would be advisable for the latest information.
